I had a great 1 night stay at the Inn! From the moment I arrived, the hosts, Bill and Linda, made me feel genuinely welcome. Checking into most hotels can feel robotic and impersonal, but this was the complete opposite. The were warm, friendly, and incredibly accommodating, making the experience feel personal right away. The décor throughout the inn has a cozy, homey feeling that instantly puts you at ease. Breakfast each morning was a standout. It was fresh, well-made, and clearly prepared with care. It felt thoughtful, not rushed. One of the best parts of the stay was the conversation with other guests. The atmosphere naturally encourages people to connect, and it was really enjoyable chatting and sharing stories, especially over breakfast. Overall, it was a charming, comfortable, and welcoming experience from the “robot check-in” vibe of typical hotels and I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay at the shore, especially during the offseason. Will definitely be back in the summer!
We are a group of friends who visit the inn yearly. Linda and Bill are great hosts; they do all they can to make us feel at home. Their hospitality draws us back each year!
90 deg temps were forecast for July 24 & 25. Looking for a short stay at NJ shore, I stumbled onto THE INN AT THE SHORE by accident on the internet. Since I had a few questions, I called, thinking I would get a concierge desk employee. NO!, the owner herself (Linda) took the call personally and pleasantly addressed all my inquiries. She was incredibly kind, pleasant, and comforting . . . . even follow-up-TEXTED me as she was running errands. I booked immediately. The INN is incredibly cozy & quaint. Honestly, I didn't even know breakfast was included in the price (Linda's husband Bill is a professional chef!) What!?? Absolutely scrumptious! The beach was our main target, & The INN provided Diana & I with beach passes, and the close proximity (2 blocks) was perfect. Sunshine & ocean breezes. Truth be said, we could have spent more time relaxing in the INN's novelty-laden sitting room, or its inviting rocking-chaired wrap-around porch. All in all, a perfect stay! Thanks Linda & Bill! Another wonderful stay at The Inn at the Shore. Just two blocks from the beach this lovely, comfortable, and inn is perfect for a quiet getaway. Linda and Bill are the perfect hosts and you feel as if you are being welcomed into their home. The beds are comfortable and the common living room is a great spot to hang out in. The ocean breezes reach the wrap-around porch, which is another enticing relaxation spot. We always wish we'd stayed longer! And the made-to-order breakfast is so delicious--we spend part of the day before thinking about what we want to eat the next morning.
Very charming B&B. Location to the beach cannot be beat. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the hosts Bill and Linda were wonderful and attentive.
The Inn At The Shore is the best B&B in Belmar, hand down. Bill and Linda are the best hosts, welcoming us each morning with an amazing breakfast and a beautiful vintage ambiance. Their cleanliness is unsurpassed. We felt comfortable, cared for, and completely happy throughout our stay. We will be coming back.
I had the most wonderful experience staying at this charming bed and breakfast. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the entire place has such a warm, homey feel. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, they truly go above and beyond to make guests feel at home. One of the best parts of the stay is breakfast every morning, where Bill prepares the most amazing Eggs Benedict I've ever had. It's seriously a must-try! They also have a cozy living room with a pool table, which is such a nice bonus for unwinding in the evening. The location couldn’t be better—just a short walk to Belmar Amtrak Station, Main Street, and the beach. And yes, they even provide a beach pass, which makes things super convenient. Can’t recommend this place enough—everything about it is thoughtfully done and truly makes for a perfect getaway!
Nice rooms, very good breakfasts. Big wrap around porch for taking the salt air and people watching. Only 2 short blocks to the beach and boardwalk. Very congenial hosts. And a pool table for those so inclined. What more can you ask?
